Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Proactively identify and engage prospective customers in corporate, higher education, and public-sector markets across Florida and the Southeast.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and regional networking opportunities to build your pipeline.
- Develop and implement targeted strategies to generate demand and secure new projects.
- Lead discovery and qualification conversations with thorough research and preparation.
- Deliver tailored product demos and solution presentations addressing client-specific needs.
- Collaborate with technical specialists during solution design and opportunity development.
- Serve as the client’s primary contact during proposal and tender stages.
- Pass qualified opportunities to the wider sales team for closing and contracting.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders.
- Map customer organizations to uncover both immediate and future opportunity pathways.
- Track and analyze market activity, competitor moves, and industry trends to refine your approach.
- Provide consultative guidance, ensuring customers are connected to the right internal experts.
- Maintain accurate, detailed CRM records of opportunities and market insights.
- Share feedback with internal teams to help shape product and service offerings.
- Proven track record in business development, field sales, or consultative solution selling , ideally in AV, unified communications, or pro audio.
- Skilled at engaging customers, uncovering needs, and guiding them through the buying cycle.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence in handling early-stage technical discussions and product demonstrations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as part of a remote national sales team.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and comfort reporting on pipeline and performance.
- Willingness to travel across the Southeast and occasionally nationwide for client meetings, events, and industry shows.
