Our clients have a fantastic reputation in the corporate AV sector and work directly with end-users but in also in partnership with IT managed service providers to design, install and commission cutting edge AV systems.  

Due to organic growth within their engineering team, they are now recruiting an Additional AV Service Engineer to provide exceptional service support for their customer sites predominately across London and the South East. 
  
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Field Service visits to client sites as and when required
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Fault Diagnosis and troubleshooting AV Equipment on customer sites 
  • Repair speaker systems, projectors and display screen issues 
  • Oversee equipment delivery on-site and take responsibility for designated assignments
  • Carry out preventative maintenance site visits helping to maintain a stable system for clients
  • Provide on-site client training as needed
  • Undertake necessary job documentation as needed
  • Field installation of control programs and Firmware updates (AMX/Crestron) upload and download
Skills and Experience: 
  • Minimum of 4 years of AV Engineering experience preferred
  • Excellent people skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers on-site and colleagues 
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control systems
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects
  • Ability to solder & crimp connectors
  • Basic IT systems experience
  • Basic PC skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Clean driving licence
  • Desirable: CTS CTS I
Candidates will ideally have previous experience in a Field Service Engineer role and be based within 1 hours commute to the Thames Valley, Berkshire area, i.e Middlesex, Surrey, Hampshire, M4 Corridor
